Generally composed of 3 to 5 lobes, tiny and very cut. Median lobe clearly longer than the lateral ones. Narrow at the base. Shiny dark green blade. Stems very branched, rather thin, with very short internodes.

Ivy with a bushy, compact habit. which will make an excellent ground cover for small areas of the garden. Some also use it in bonsai.

This variety was voted “Ivy of the Year” by the American Ivy Society in 2006.

History

This cultivar was discovered by Bob Hornback, California, USA, in 1983. It is a mutation of ‘Needlepoint’, which he named after its mother.
