Description
Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Glacier’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Glacier’, is a branchy species with vigorous shoots, which was among the first varieties of variegated ivy to be widely distributed.
The leaf, of medium size, is spotted with green and grey and edged with a white border. The leaf has 3 to 5 slightly pointed lobes.
It is a wonderful ground cover, but also a good climber. Fairly tolerant of dryness, it can be exposed to the sun without becoming adult quickly.
This variety won the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 2002.
