In a nutshell

Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Golden Starlight’, is a luminous ivy.

Its leaves are composed of 3 to 7 elongated, narrow and pointed lobes. The blade is green and grey, edged with bright yellow.

The stems are self-branching, the internodes are short. It is a wonderful climbing ivy, which can also be very beautiful in pots or as ground cover. Choose a location sheltered from drafts, especially in winter. Watch for non-faithful stems that must be eliminated as you go. It has a tendency to return to ‘Goldchild’, its parent.

History

This cultivar was discovered by Henrik Boniokke, Denmark in 1998. It is a mutation of ‘Goldchild’.
