Description
Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Hester’
In a nutshell
The ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Hester’, is an unusual variety with long, linear or lanceolate leaves.
They are most often unlobed, but sometimes leaves with one or two lateral lobes are found. The leaf blade is a glossy medium green.
This is a fast-growing ivy. It forms a nice cushion of unbranched stems.
It is more suitable as a ground cover, for careful gardeners, because it often requires removing mutant branches, or different leaves.
