Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Kirsten’
In a nutshell
The ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Kirsten’, is characterized by a foliage with a single lobe in general, with the edge recurved, rolled towards the center.
Some leaves can however have 2 or 3 lobes. The blade is dark green. The stems are thick and well branched.
It is an original ivy which has a somewhat lanky appearance, but which makes a good ground cover out of the ordinary.
History
This cultivar was discovered by the Albers nursery in Germany in 1995. It is a mutation of Stuttgart’.
