Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Kobby’, is a strong growing ivy that produces long stems.
The finger-like leaves have 3 lobes, the terminal lobe is slightly longer than the lateral ones. Some leaves have 5 lobes with tiny basal lobes. The leaf margins are slightly folded. The leaf colour is medium green, and when temperatures drop, the leaf margin turns brownish.
The petioles are red and very visible. This is an excellent potted ivy that can also be used as a climber.
History
This cultivar was discovered by Sylvan Hahn of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, before 1940.
