The foliage with a varnished appearance is rather thick and always dark green. It is wavy and veined with pale green. The base of the leaves is wedge-shaped.
Of average vigor, it is suitable for both sunny and shaded exposures.

This cultivar was introduced by WA Manda Inc, New Jersey, USA in the 1950s.
