The question of circumstance ...

What is a deltoid leaf?

The vocabulary used by botanists to describe plants is very rich. For leaves alone, you may come across dozens of specific terms.

A leaf is said to be deltoid when it has a triangular, delta-like shape. The poplar leaf, for example, is a perfect example of a deltoid leaf.
