Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Pixie’

Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Pixie’, is a compact ivy with unique foliage, to be used as ground cover for small spaces.
The leaves, about the size of a 2 euro coin, are composed of 5 to 7 lobes, the median blade being longer than the others. The blade is medium to dark green, with slightly curved edges.
The stems are well branched with short internodes. It is an ivy that forms cushions about fifty centimeters in diameter.
History
This cultivar was discovered by E. Barcafer, Ohio, USA. It is believed to be a mutation of ‘California’.
