Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Rauschgold’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Rauschgold’, is a variety with foliage that is resistant to full light, without the foliage being damaged.
The leaves are composed of 5 lobes, or sometimes only 3, the base lobe being enveloping. The margin of the leaves is wavy to slightly rolled.
The new shoots are yellowish green to golden yellow, becoming pale green over time.
This is an ivy that forms beautiful, thin mats.
History
This cultivar was discovered by Brother Ingobert Heieck of Neuburg Monastery, Germany, in 1980. It is a mutation of ‘Goldstern’
