Description
Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Sagittaefolia’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Sagittaefolia’, is a hardy and vigorous ivy, usable as ground cover or as a climber, if there is a support. Its foliage is cut into a spearhead and composed of 3 to 5 lobes. The base of the leaves is enveloping.
It is a very branched plant. The stems, with short internodes, bear small leaves of 4 x 7 cm, rather dull dark green. The dense vegetation forms thick carpets.
The foliage takes on reddish hues in winter in cold and dry weather.
