Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Serenade’, is a variety with a compact shape and rapid growth.
The leaf, rather small, is composed of 5 lobes with slightly rounded ends. The blade is dark green, subtly marked in the center with a yellow-green to light green area. It becomes completely green as it ages.
This is an ivy to place in a bright location.
History
This cultivar was discovered by Brother Ingobert Heieck in 1978 at the monastery in Neuburg, Germany. It is a mutation of ‘Pittsburgh Variegated’
