Description
Ornemental ivy – Hedera helix ‘Silver Butterflies’
In a nutshell
Ornamental ivy, Hedera helix ‘Silver Butterflies’, is a climbing ivy, very branched but with a sparsely leafy appearance because the internodes are long.
The leaves are asymmetrical, composed of 3 to 5 narrow lobes and as if pinched at the base. The blade is spotted with green and grey with very narrow creamy white margins, more accentuated in sunny situations.
This is an ivy with the most beautiful effect on a trunk or an old wall. It makes annual shoots of about fifty centimeters. Very hardy, it gives a grey appearance to its support, its leaves seeming to be posed like butterflies.
This variety received the Courson Merit.
